LYNNWOOD TEAM SERIES RECAP

Saturday was a great day for Team I/C Red from Morgan Junction CrossFit in Seatttle, Washington.  Tim Preston, Lincoln Smith, Marissa Luchau, and Joey Sanchez took home the Power Athlete Team Series title at CrossFit Lynnwood after narrowly making it to the final prowler event (just beating 4th place- Team Fishing for Compliments by 4 points).  Proving that it’s not “over ’til it’s over”, the teams suffered through a good old fashioned prowler race with 1st ranked, Team Kill Cliff, and 2nd place, Team America.  About half way through the shuttle Team I/C Red began to pull ahead of the competition and continue the momentum until the near-diving finish.

Over the course of the day, one athlete that stood out among the rest was 10 year old female competitor Reagan Lombardo of Team CrossFit Basic.  This young lady Deadlifted an impressive 143lbs at a bodyweight of 91.5lbs.  She was even able to show off her athletic prowess in the metcon, only modifying the KB weight.

Several other big congratulations goes out to the following athletes for their respectable feats of strength: Kelsey Nagel with a Power Clean of 243lbs, Joan Jennings with a Squat of 300lbs at a bodyweight of 133lbs, and Blake Sewell for putting up a notable 405lb on Bench PressDeadlifters Matt Falk, Travis Anderson, and Mike Dolan all pulled at least 600lb exciting the crowd with their ridiculous absolute strength.

This was an incredibly close event and Power Athlete HQ could not be more stoked for the teams involved.  A special thank you goes out to Lynnwood Crossfit and all of the volunteers who helped make the event a huge success.
