 Run fast, Be Fast.

Derek Hansen has a an extensive background in making athletes faster. A pupil of the infamous sprinting coach, Charlie Francis, Hansen has followed suit by working with some of the highest performers in the world of sport. While Derek’s knowledge of speed science is unparalleled, he refuses to hold tight to traditional ways of training. He believes that it’s a coaching obligation to always be incorporating new information and potentially cutting edge research findings into your programming.

Derek strikes an intelligent balance to training. His style reflects a responsible and simple approach while still allowing flexibility for an individual’s inherent potential. As Derek explains, trial and error is still the most valuable feedback within the practice of coaching. Tune in for numerous anecdotes that touch on the volume vs intensity debate. More isn’t necessarily better, it’s just more.
