Power Athlete Team Series – Baltimore Recap

This past weekend marked the beginning of the Power Athlete Team Series and Baltimore, Maryland did not disappoint. Among numerous feats of strength, the team to take home the gold was The Salty Brose (a play on the names of head coaches and owners, Tom Brose and Chris "Salty" Shepard, of CrossFit DC). We at Power Athlete HQ couldn't more excited for this group of stellar athletes to take home the $2,000 and set of bumper plates. Up until the end of competition only about 15 points separated The Salty Brose in first place and Animal House, a close second. Ultimately the top three teams went through a truly grueling team prowler shuttle raceCheck out the video!  in which The Salty Brose were in last place up until the final leg of the shuttle. In an epic turnaround, powerhouse Dan Samarov turned on the heat and crushed the competition all while exhibiting the most amazing pain face. Going to that dark place was exactly what the team needed to maintain their first place standing and earn the title of Power Athlete Team Series Champion.
