Happy new year, power athlete nation!

This week, we’re getting the band back together after a long holiday hiatus.  After some discussion of ice luges, pocket-sandwiches, and Mario Kart, we dive into the annually anticipated “Lesson’s Learned” Talk To Me Johnnie post, not to be confused with “Oprah’s Favorite Things” show.  Things get a bit philosophical when we talk about the importance of “not missing the forest for the trees” and how Arnold knew early on that sometimes, haters gonna hate.

Later in the show, Tex (@mcquilkin) reminds us why connecting with your athletes is a crucial component to optimizing your coaching impact.  This was just one part of his Power Coach trilogy – a series of premium articles that can be found on PowerAthleteHQ.com.

And lastly, did you donate to Wades Army in 2013?  Hear how your direct participation has impacted the lives of 90 little ones.

It’s officially January and that means that your gym is jammed up with a mess of “resi’s”.  Simmer down, skip the throat punches, and if you don’t know what a “resi” is, tune into Episode 89.

Another great episode. And I knew damn well @John was NOT a Friends fan–that just didn’t fit. I thought @Luke was not telling not telling me the truth.

Dont miss the forest for the trees. So important. People get so wrapped up in the fine details that they never see/benefit from the big picture. Also, just ordered 48 Laws Of Power… My PA reading list is long.
