Power Athlete Radio – Episode 90 Mark Watts

one-point-twenty-one-gigga watts!

One of our favorites is back.  Mark Watts joins us for the second time to talk about a myriad of coaching topics like the misconceptions that revolve around our traditional definition of "experience".  Mark is amazing because he draws from his many years of being around so many levels of athletes and finds value in each stage of his career.  We also talk about how to get athletes to buy in to the training, programming, or coaching and why a transactional coach is ineffective compared to a transformational coach.  He discusses why strength and conditioning is such fantastic field to be a part of because ultimate subjectivity.  This is why he has been known to regularly rank his athletes.

Mark is an all around great guy, endless source of knowledge, and a resource that we will continue to take advantage of for as long as he'll allow.  A big thank you to him for indulging us time and time again.

  5. Guys- I’m looking into these issues. The internet is being a huge B – cranky without any hint of what is actually wrong.

    I’ll keep you posted.

  6. Have you tried telling it how fine it looks on those jeans?

  7. Or just being there? Sometimes you don’t even need to say anything. Just listen.

  8. @ingob & @seymourbutts – both really great suggestions. Last night the internet asked me if it “had no arms and legs would I still love it”.

It’s more serious than we all thought.
