Let the Kids Play.

Have you ever seen someone run and thought “Is this literally your first time?” Do you coach youth who are on the brink of athleticism if not for their horrendous mechanics? Then this week’s episode will will empower you to implement the coaching that can turn these awkward specimens into finely tuned machines. It’s probably our best speed discussion to date and all thanks to guest, Jim Kielbaso [@jimkielbaso], who breaks it down like no other. Hear his simple yet scientific approach to allowing athletes to reach their respective top speeds, even despite their inferior genetics.

You heard right. All athletes have the ability to improve their skills, including speed, through strength, power, posture, and position. However, that doesn’t mean that the “genetic trash cans” as Jim Kielbaso [@JimKielbaso] so aptly puts it, will magically turn a corner overcoming their physiological shortcomings.

The truth-tellin’ in this episode with S&C and combine prep coach is undeniable. His approach to taking on youth through college age athletes is smart and scientific. Not only that, it’s built on years of successful training often resulting in family sports legacies. Effective training starts with listening to people who know a shitton more than you.

We are getting close to our annual battle against Neuroblastoma. And yet, you won’t see Neuroblastoma colors on any given Sunday or being sported by airline stewardesses. That’s because it’s underfunded and continues to devastate families and take the lives of little ones as the leading form of pediatric cancer. Wade’s Day is November 12th which means you have one month to head to www.wadesarmy.org to make your donation and receive your Wade’s swag.
