Fail first, Succeed Later
"Educating kids out of becoming assholes"...that's just one aspect to being a full time strength coach for college level football programs. Jim Kiritsy [@KSU_FB_Strength] of Kennesaw State University does not apologize for his strict standards and no bullshit coaching style. In fact, he points to it's effectiveness in this week's episode explaining that with Effort, Attitude, and Toughness...all things are possible. With a true EAT the weak mindset, he has seen his athletes grow into monsters on the field and men their own right. Fuel your coaching fire with a little Kiritsy.
Jim Kiritsy is all about attention to detail. He believes that a teams roots are strengthened by a combination of high standards and uniformity. Sprinkle in a healthy dose of group suffering and you have the foundation for a football program whose team mentality is virtually impenetrable. When coaching up kids at this age, instilling accountability to the team is often more effective than simply holding them accountable to themselves. Therein lies the notorious culture of the Kennesaw State University football program. When coaches care, athletes perform.
