Cali gives some insight on some of the questions we’re getting across the inter-web:

  • What are the required team configurations?
  • Do my team mates have to train at my gym?
  • What’s the format of the competition?
  • What are the weight classes?
  • Can I use wraps, straps, belts, etc?
  • I want to host, what do I need?

If you have any other questions, post them to comments.

    My only recommendation…

Replace the weber with a big green egg…Better yet, keep the weber for vegetables and add a big green egg for the beef

Looking forward to hearing about the teams series…I probably wont be participating until some of you stronger folks get a little weaker and I get on some serious steroids…Which means I prob wont be participating

LOVE The big green egg… But the weber is cheap, quick and easy for “functional eating.” Aka post workout meals where you don’t eat for flavor, you eat for function!

Clay flower pot, hot plate, two grills. 1/10 the cost of the Egg. Nearly as awesome.

      Is this a real thing??

Does the team have to be affiliated with a CF Gym?

    • luke on February 23, 2013 at 8:27 am

No, we don’t care where your team comes from, you need four athletes to show up on game day. You need at least one female and one male on your team of four.

    Awesome. Thank you.

Luke – my life is 100% factual. That’s why I ditched air squats and Milli Vanilli.

I made a larger version of this. Works great.

Is #Occupy coming back? The team series looks cool but with no weight class and a body weight coefficient seems to work against me and the team I’m on (300# BW). unless you use something like the wilks which places more importance on absolute strength, but I’m not sure how that applies to power clean because the Oly Comps use the Sinclair coefficient.

Either way, I’ll be there in Chicago with the Crossfit South Bend crew and look forward to meeting everyone again

The team series is the evolution of #OccupyStrength. We will be scoring with body a body weight coefficient and scoring the metcon challenge to ensure a balance between the scores. Details on scoring will be posted shortly.

Thanks Luke, I look forward to the updates on scoring
