The math is simple. Living it every day is the hard part.
Losing weight should be easy. Eat less than you burn, watch the scale move, problem solved. Except anyone who has actually tried it knows the math is the easy part.
Ben sits down with fellow Certified Power Athlete Master Coach, Johnny Durrett, to unpack why getting in shape can actually be easier than losing weight. Johnny shares his own journey from over 315 pounds to learning how to control his nutrition, including the mistakes, ridiculous restriction, 9,000-calorie cheat meals, and lessons that eventually taught him how to lose weight without letting food control his life.
They get into why willpower eventually fails, why one bad meal doesn’t erase months of work, and why having a coach isn’t about someone handing you a set of macros. It’s about building the habits, accountability, and skills that make the result sustainable when real life gets in the way. Losing the weight is one problem. Knowing how to keep it off is the one that actually matters.
