The Not-So-Modern Man
What does it mean to be a MAN in this day and age? The question alone provokes controversy in most social circles. Does chromosome combination require you to take on certain responsibilities? This week’s guest, Ryan Michler [@RyanMichler] of Order of Man [@OrderOfMan] argues that if you want to reach your maximum potential you’ve got to embrace your XY role. Before you judge, have a listen to our conversation with him. You might be surprised to learn that the tenants of what it means to be a man include what some may consider to be more feminine traits as well. Man, woman, or Sloth (you’ll have to listen to get that last one), the goal is the same: Being the best version of yourself possible for those around you.
The integrity gap. This is what separates the confident from the insecure. The further you are from the ideal version of yourself, the bigger the gap. Ryan Michler of Order of Man Podcast explains how destructive this can be in relationships, professional and personal. This problem manifests when you find yourself shitting on other people’s success. It’s a major issue not just among men, but our society as a whole. Ryan also believes its partly responsible for an increasing acceptance of mediocrity. Find out how to narrow your own integrity gap, reveling in the success of others, and surrounding yourself with people that hold you to a high standard. Listen NOW!
