In this episode the Crew dials the voicemail to answer a question from a loyal Power Athlete Radio listener:

Hello. This is a wild swinger calling in, wanting to know what would be the best way to integrate running / conditioning training into the Field Strong program with the end goal of joining the military, and the best way to do so while continuing to make strength related goals.

What’s the Secret to Adding Running to the Field Strong Program?

Field Strong is Power Athlete’s flagship program created and programmed by John Welbourn since 2014. For years people have been asking how and where to add in longer runs and rucks into the program to help them prepare for their military career demands. Field Strong’s focus is to enhancing athleticism and empower performance through targeted strength, power, and speed training. But, what if these athletic traits are what you know you need for your job but career requirements call for you to have the capacity to pound pavement and ruck for days? Spoiler alert, the answer is Power Athlete’s HAMR program.

In this episode of Power Athlete Radio, John and The Crew answer a listener submitted question to breakdown speed training vs conditioning, discuss optimal training for military athlete, and differentiate HAMR and Field Strong programs.
