| EP – 385 What Would Thor of Asgard’s Training Look Like?

Author / John

39 minute listen

In this episode the Crew dials the voicemail to answer a question from a loyal Power Athlete Radio listener:

Several years ago I read a good article from Power Athlete outlining how strong Hercules is. So now I’m wondering how strong are the super hero guys, like Thor for example. How would that guy put on muscle? If you’re that guy, how much weight would you have to lift to stress, recover, and adapt and go through the process of putting on muscle? What would he have to do?

And also, not sure if you noticed, but Asgard is flat. Like the Earth. Are any Asgardians sphere-earthers?

I Noticed You Copied My Beard

Here’s the scenario: Power Athlete enters the Marvel Universe with the likes of Tony Stark, Chris Pratt, and Spidey. They’re summoned to Asgard, shot up into space, and tasked with training Thor, The God of Thunder, for his next movie adventure.

Med ball work with the gravity of a dying star, squats on Jupiter’s moons, and manual-resistance training with The Hulk. The Crew questions all things comic hero training including whether Thor can get his hands on Captain America’s performance enhancing drugs.

As an added bonus, while everyone else is arguing Marvel VS DC, Power Athlete finds a way to connect these worlds through training, banging weights, and the necessary workout montage along every hero’s journey.
