In this episode the Crew dials the voicemail to answer a question from a loyal Power Athlete Radio listener:

Hey dudes, two questions for you. I’ve been on Jacked Street a long time. And I probably missed this could be probably covered it somewhere else. 1) why do we not Sprint like you do and Field Strong and the other programs and then 2) I’ve been on leaning protocol for most of Covid lock down in L A, and I want to get off of it. So what do I do for maintenance now at this point? That’s all. Thank you.

Bigger. Faster. Slower?

Jacked Street is a very special place where physiques are transformed and friendships are forged. John Welbourn scribes each workout daily in stone and exposes members of Jacked Street to the tried and true training and accessory work that had him walking into training camp at 8% body fat tipping the scale at 308 pounds. One component not part Jacked Street’s training covenants is Sprinting. We’re talking on speed training, not running fast.

John and Tex answer a hotline question from a long-time Jacked Streeter curious as to how he can intelligently work sprints into his training since he is getting too enormous. Sprinting is extremely neurologically and physiologically demanding and requires prep-work to get you ready-ready to go fast. Randomly dropping sprinting into a training program will not have the desired training response or cause some injury. Give this episode a listen to work sprinting into your training cadence for the first time after a long time.
