BJJ, MMA, USA

Carlos Berio’s [@bjjphysio] passions lie in the attaining of client rehab goals and the highest level of performance possible. Because of his attention to detail, unique treatment style, and priority on one-on-one care, his clients move without pain and undergo amazing transformations in their physical condition. Carlos derives the most satisfaction from the realization that his clients become highly educated in the technical aspects of their body and how the entire “chain” functions as a whole.

If you think that your average physical therapist has a background in strength and conditioning or even sport in general, you’d be wrong. While the enthusiast may permeate the mix, Dr Carlos Berio is a bit of an anomaly for the field. Pun intended – because his baseball turned BJJ competitive streak puts him in a unique position to get his athletes back to training. He’s a vocal proponent for getting PT’s more pertinent and well rounded education and tossing out the churn and burn therapies of antiquity. Lots of MMA talk with a little Bloodsport for good measure.

Empower Your Performance

You heard Dr Berio – he’s all up on instagram @bjjphysio and watching some of his videos will make you want to demand more from your current PT.
