In this episode the Crew dials the voicemail to answer a question from a loyal Power Athlete Radio listener:

Hello Power Athlete Crew, I’m from South Dakota and I have been a long time listener and I’ve taken the mind-blowing and life-changing Methodology course. You guys are awesome. I have a jumped in to take a Block One yet. But that is come. I do have actually have a question. When does an athlete too young to start taking supplements such as creatine, maybe even like a Whey Protein, BCAAs those types of things and the second, completely related question: When is John going to come out and admit that he is actually the penguin? Thanks guys.

Creatine Makes You Lean & Mean

The supplement industry took a page out of the Willy Wonka’s book making labels appealing to kids. If your creatine comes in a flashy tub and calls itself something along the lines of ANUS-Explode, listen closely. Before we talk supplements, let’s start with how a youth athlete is eating? Are they eating enough protein? Where are the carbs coming from? What kind of fats are you consuming? Answering these questions and aligning with Power Athlete nutrition protocols will take a kid farther, faster than fancy tubs of pre-workout.

The Crew finally answers the question, “What supplements should I take?” … kind of. John drops nutrition knowledge bombs for both adult and youth athletes interested in finding the right supplements for their goals and individual needs. We even dig up an email from a worried mother outlining how the Power Athlete diet did not see eye to eye with the USDA on saturated fats.
