From D1 football to CrossFit glory, and now finding strength in Dubai.
Tanner Shuck isn’t your average strength coach. He went from strapping up the pads at Rice University to throwing down with the fittest on earth at the CrossFit Games. But behind the highlight reels and the hero workouts was a system starting to crack. I sit down with Tanner to trace his path from Division 1 football to CrossFit stardom, and what he learned when the sport he loved started eating itself alive.
We’re pulling no punches breaking down the downfall of CrossFit, from corporate chaos and lost identity to the erosion of what made it great in the first place: hard-nosed training and real-world performance.
Now living and coaching in Dubai, Tanner shares how he’s redefining strength, building better athletes, and reclaiming what fitness was supposed to be all along, the ability to dominate life, not just post about it.
If you want to understand what happens when discipline, ego, and culture collide, tune in.
