Nutrition & Recovery | Podcast | Strength | Training Ep 831 – The Science of Stress & Strength

1 Hour 37 Minute Listen
What the modern world has forgotten about getting strong.
Modern life has evolved faster than our biology can keep up. We’ve traded hard work for convenience, sunlight for screens, and real food for engineered slop. Power Athlete Certified Coaches Dr. Ben Skutnick and Dr. Hunter Waldman sit down with me to unpack how the over-evolution of technology is rewiring our bodies, dulling our instincts, and softening our edge.
The crew dives deep into the science of stress, why it’s not always the enemy, but the very thing that drives growth, resilience, and adaptation. From training to nutrition to mental toughness, we break down how to harness stress the way nature intended, to build armor, not anxiety.
We also get an update on the HAMMER 90 Challenge which launched in mid-September with a select crew of athletes finding out what happens when discipline, data, and discomfort collide.
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your performance, reclaim your edge, or stop living like a lab rat, this episode is your wake-up call.
