1 Hour 6 Minute Listen

What actually works for recovery and metabolic health.

Everybody’s chasing the next recovery hack, ice baths, saunas, cryo chambers, cold plunges. You’ve seen it all over your feed. But how much of that is science, and how much is just another influencer trying to sell you a freezer full of bro-science?

Dr. Tom Seager, PhD and expert in environmental stress physiology, joins me to separate the facts from the fiction. We’re diving into what actually happens when you expose your body to extreme heat or cold, from inflammation and hormone regulation to blood sugar control and insulin sensitivity. Tom also shares how thermal stress can impact diabetes.

Whether you’re chasing better recovery, sharper mental focus, or real metabolic health, this conversation cuts through the noise and gives you the science-backed tools to get the most out of your training and health.
