 EPISODE152bSTARTING A MAJOR BEEF.

Dr. Peter Ballerstedt is a forage agronomist. Working in ruminate agriculture (that means predominantly meat and milk), Peter has research and resources at his fingertips making him an expert in controversial subjects such as the consumption of “Grainfed vs Grassfeed beef”.

With the dawn of popular nutritional protocols like paleo, a whirlwind of emphasis has been put on choosing organic, free range, grassfed, pain free, hugged-twice-daily meat. Power Athlete has always maintained that you are what you eat…eats! However, in speaking with Peter, it’s clear that there are far more machines at work driving people to choose grassfed over grainfed, and shocker – not all of them have your performance as their top priority.

John has never shied away from uncovering new information in the name of battling the bullshit and today’s episode is no exception. This conversation had us all scratching our heads and furiously doing our own research on the subject of grainfed vs. grassfed. Today we start a beef with the meat industry.

So before you sound the alarms, check it out here. We encourage all of Power Athlete Nation to dive balls deep into @John’s post, and continue to do their own research – starting with Peter’s blog: http://grassbasedhealth.blogspot.com/, Facebook page, and YouTube videos.
