episode181b

If You’re going to North Hollywood you dress as a sexy Cowboy.

This week, Luke and Tex respond to your inquiries with another Crew inspired installment. For the next hour, the guys explain how to overcome asymmetries, how to pick the best program for your goals, and discuss the madness behind the new “Johnnie WOD”. Of course no episode is complete without using the art of cinema to explain the complexities of sports science. As sophisticated as the The Premier Podcast in Strength and Conditioning has become, it’s definitely not above demanding that you punch yourself in the face if you haven’t seen T2.

And, the answer to the age old question “Is it true, if you don’t use it, you lose it?” is finally revealed. Surprisingly, Luke and Tex give this comical query some weight and discuss in terms of training adaptation. Bet you didn’t see that one coming…

If there’s one valid takeaway from this episode, it’s that if you find yourself lining up against a an older lady at a tough mudder, according to Luke you should spit in her face say “You’re in my world now, grandma” right before you quote, “run all over her ass”.
