| | PA Radio – Episode 263: Dr Laurie Santos

Author / John

1 Hour 11 Min Listen

Monkey See, Monkey Do

We have Dr. Laurie Santos on the show to talk about the behavioral similarities and differences that exist between humans and other primates. This is important stuff because we are learning a ton about how we collaborate socially, how we make irrational economical decisions, and Laurie’s favorite fascination…how we over imitate each other.

Holy shit. We are blindly doing what other people are doing which is fine if we are imitating intelligence or, say, good movement patterns, but is tragic if you think about all of the sub-optimal behaviors we are mimicking. Attention alpha males: You may want to stay tuned to learn why a little turf war is not worth losing all of your hair for two enlarged testicles.

EMPOWER YOUR PERFORMANCE.

You may have noticed that we don’t really advertise on our podcast. It’s something we’ve discussed and dabled with over the years but it’s really because of two simple things: One we want you to enjoy the experience of the show and not feel like you’re being force fed some trendy bullshit in exchange for listening and two, although we’ve been approached a lot about advertising, we just haven’t been able to stand behind any of the products enough to whore ourselves out.

Well, that all changed when we met the folks from Stay Classy Meats. They were a huge part of the 2017 Power Athlete Symposium where they provided snacks for attendees and a ridiculous feast worthy of your meat diary for the VIP’s at John’s house. I can’t even tell you how phenomenal their product is which is unfortunate because this is radio, after all. I’ve had virtually every product that they offer from the jerky to the pemmican paleo bites and various sausages. You can trust me when I tell you the food is legit, the farmers who I’ve met are salt of the earth, and they are also supporters of Wade’s Army. As if you needed more of a reason to order a big old box of meat, there you have it. Stay Classy is also generously extended a discount code for all you listeners.

Use the code POWERATHLETE (all caps) to get 10% off your first oder and an additional 4% off all order subscriptions at checkout. Head to stayclassymeats.com immediately.

Poor Dr. Laurie had no idea what she was getting into when engaging with PA Radio.
