| | | | Power Athlete Radio – Episode 92 Jim Bathurst

Author / John

the best skill is a beast skill.

This week we have Jim Bathurst of  Beast Skills.

Jim brings a rare insight to the world of strength and conditioning because his specialty lies in the niche world of acrobatics, gymnastics and grip training.

Hear how he got his start by mastering a parlor trick and his subsequent journey to becoming a recognized resource in the genre of obscure badassery.

Jim also coaches our listeners up on how to incorporate random skill work into gen pop programming and the value it inevitably yields.

Just a warning: we recorded this while Jim was between appointments so there is some ambient noise in the background.  And for that I say deal with it.

Lot’s of great info coming at you in Episode 92 of Power Athlete Radio.

Interesting show. I dig the live mic-mic format. The call-in stuff gets dicey, esp when over a network.

That said, his levels are really low, while yours was high. Normally, I’d just turn it up, but the discrepancy was too great.

You get props for recording your drops with Luke and John in the same room. That takes serious concentration.

There were audio issues for sure. We won’t be posting with this type of format in the future. There are just too many variables when you record “on location”. Our set up at PAHQ is way more conducive to good acoustics.

Thanks for the feedback as I try to improve the quality of the audio experience.
