WHAT IS THE POWER ATHLETE TRAINING CAMP?
Power Athlete coaches are coming to you for 6 hours of instruction that will equip your athletes with full proof techniques and level up their game. Whether entering middle school or senior year of high school, athletes will carry these fundamental strength training skills with them in everything they do. Don't miss this opportunity to give your athlete advantages on and off the field.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
Athletes 12 to 17 years old can expect to train their thinking and movement patterns for success in their sport.
Be prepared to engage in all the right moves:
- How to maximize strength training with a barbell for improved on-field performance.
- How discipline in the weight room has a carryover effect to all things that require hard work.
- The importance of physical preparation for success as competition and demand increases.
- Sprint technique for maximum power and speed development.

Coaches at the Middle and High School levels are out-numbered. The Training Camp experience puts your athlete in the spot-light with the undivided attention of high-level, professional coaches in a small group training environment to accomplish individual empowerment.

EVENT SCHEDULE
8:40 - 9:00 AM | EVENT CHECK-IN
Parents will check-in the athletes and get a view of the training facility if interested. We require all athletes arrive before 9 AM start time.
9:00 - 9:15 PM | TEAM INTRODUCTION
Power Athlete Coaches will kick off the event with a brief introduction to the training camp experience for both athletes and parents. Following the introduction, parents will head out and athletes will start moving!
9:15 - 9:35 PM | DYNAMIC MOVEMENT PREP
Athletes will going through a movement assessment and experience dynamic movement for weight lifting preparation.
9:35 - 10:10 AM | THE POWER ATHLETE SQUAT
Athletes will learn the optimal set up and execution of the barbell back squat for transferring weight room strength to the field.
10:10 - 10:40 AM | BENCH PRESSING FOR SPORT
The bench press is an incredible tool for contact sport athletes. Power Athlete will introduce proper execution and how to bring this into the athlete's sport performance.
10:40 - 11:10 AM | DEADLIFT SET UP & EXECUTION
Deadlift is easily one of the most poorly taught barbell movements. We will ensure athletes know safe technique and how to challenge their body while avoiding injuries.
11:10 - 11:30 AM | JACKED STREET
Power Athlete will introduce fundamental movements and execution techniques for accessory exercises that aid in putting on muscle in the upper body.
11:10 - 12:30 PM | LUNCH BREAK
Athletes will break for lunch on the gym campus. All parents are encouraged to provide and pack lunches for their athletes.
12:30 - 1:25 PM | DYNAMIC MOVEMENT PREP
Athletes will going through a movement assessment and experience dynamic movement for sprint preparation.
1:25 - 1:55 PM | SPEED AND ACCELERATION TRAINING
The fundamentals of acceleration and sprinting for the field/court sport athlete will be introduced.
1:55 - 2:35 PM | CHANGE OF DIRECTION AND AGILITY TRAINING
The fundamentals of agility and change of direction for the field/court sport athlete will be introduced.
2:35 - 3:00 PM | CLOSING & PARENT RESOURCES
Parents will return for picking up their athletes and be provided with resources to continue intelligent training beyond the Training Camp experience.
WHAT TO BRING
LUNCH
The team will break for an hour to refuel and hydrate at the gym, so we ask that parents provide lunch for their athlete attending the Training Camp.
WATER BOTTLE
We will have water available onsite, but do request all athletes bring their own reusable water bottles to fend off the heat and stay alert throughout the Training Camp.
CLEATS
A portion of the sprinting experience will be outside on the grass, so we ask athletes to bring a pair of cleats if they have a pair.
TENNIS SHOES
Majority of the training camp experience will be located in our weight training facility and we require athletes to wear shoes for safety reasons.
WORKOUT ATTIRE
Come dressed ready to sweat and get dirty. We will be moving continuously throughout the camp, expect to sweat.
TRAINING NOTEBOOK
A base level of barbell weights will be established for each athlete to begin their training journey following the Training Camp.
