As excited as we are for the return of the NFL regular season, we are not surprised by the big number of injuries that have downright destroyed many fantasy football leagues. Premiere talents McCaffery, Barkley, and half the 49ers went down in Week 2 with more bumps, bruises, and tears coming Week 3. Closer look of injury reports and you’ll find the majority of injuries were located in the lower body, including a high number of ACL tears.
Ankles are nearly always neat and good-looking, but knees are nearly always not.
While it may be hard to correlate lack of pre-season as a definitive factor in these high injury rates, we know there is one culprit that is at fault – the foot.
In his analysis of the rash of injuries that occurred in week 2, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Movement Expert, and Power Athlete Block One Coach Dr. Matt Zanis joins the Power Athlete Crew to discuss the cause of the wave of lower leg injuries to start the NFL seasons.
