 Getting the Word Out

These days contact sports, namely football, are on the chopping block for their propensity to cause serious brain injury. Luckily Fred Willis has stepped in as an advocate for players and is dedicated to combating the machine that pumps out TBI’s, CTE’s, and undiagnosed concussions any given Sunday.

A former NFL veteran, Willis considers himself lucky to have the capacity to fight for those athletes who have suffered from not only their irreversible head trauma but from being ostracized by the very institution that employs them.

No matter your opinion on whether the NFL owes these players anything, one thing is for sure. Hearing Willis speak of the complex politics surrounding the issues reminds us that these men are the gladiators of the modern age deserve treatment.
