Certified Power Athlete Coach, Ben, speaks to the potential – and pitfalls – of educating others.
I’m diving into the trenches of education, critical thinking, and the mental toughness that comes with being a student-athlete in today’s world. Joining me is Certified Power Athlete Coach Ben Skutnik.
Ben isn’t just a coach; he’s a thinker, a leader, and someone who’s seen firsthand how education—or the lack thereof—can shape the way we view the world. In this episode, he gets real about the role education played in his journey, how it sharpened his perspective, and what it was like to balance the demands of college athletics with the rigors of academics.
Together, we tackle the elephant in the room: the decline of education in modern society. From campuses to social media, it feels like more people are parroting what they’ve heard rather than developing their own opinions. The result? A society that’s misinformed, misled, and, frankly, missing the mark.
Ben shares how his education helped him navigate the noise and together we share why critical thinking is just as important as physical strength. Spoiler alert: You can’t deadlift your way out of bad information—but you can train your mind to filter the BS and find the truth.
