In this episode the Crew dials the voicemail to answer a question from a loyal Power Athlete Radio listener:

Hey Power Athlete, this is Tim Wacker. We have game shows like The Rock’s Titan Games, JJ Watt’s Tag, American Gladiators from back in the day, They’re all great, but They’re all a bit different. I was wondering, what do you think of the current shows and competitions? Which one is the best to display athleticism? And what would the Power Athlete Game Show look like? Look forward to hearing your thoughts. Thanks. Byyyeee!

The Premier Game Show In The World Ever

In 2020, TV time in America is packed full with real people fighting against the odds to emerge victorious over some wildly farfetched challenges.

At this exact moment, somewhere in the multiverse, a writer is in a meeting pitching a challenge where 4 single guys slathered in honey are wearing nothing but thongs and parachutes, will swing over the grand canyon inside a cage hanging from a 10 story crane that is full of murder hornets and honey badgers. They will race to eat 5 live scorpions before they can each attempt to throw one another out of the cage for a chance to win an all expenses paid date to Sbarro’s with Rihanna.

And then there are billions of us viewers ready watch the chaos unfold, hoping that one lucky bastard will find true love.

What makes reality TV so great? “Real” people, just like you, putting everything on the line to accomplish extraordinary things. Reality TV is tremendously popular as of 2020, and a sub category of shows which feature physical challenges have naturally emerged. Whether the show features a guy vs. an obstacle course, two Average Joe’s competing for a spot on the podium, a Joe vs. a Pro, or a combination of any of those, these shows give regular men and women around the world an opportunity to put their training, fitness, athleticism, and will to win to the test.

But which of today’s physical based game shows, combine events, and fitness challenges present the best opportunity for an individual to display the purest level of athleticism?

Spoiler alert, the Crew doesn’t think it is NFL combine.

Is it the Rock’s Titan Games? JJ Watt’s Tag? The CrossFit Games?

Find out what the crew has to say in Episode 381 of Power Athlete Radio.
