Something good finally came from Twitter: A Power Athlete Radio with Matthew Modine! He threw down the gauntlet, Power Athlete Nation answered.
Power Athlete’s Place In The Circle
They say you should never meet your heroes. This podcast is the exception to the rule. Power Athlete finally finds their place in the circle as they sit down with the one and only Matthew Modine, aka Loudin Swain, aka Private Joker. The Crew plays it cool until Matthew drops some 80’s Tom Cruise stories and the fan-boys come out.
This is one can’t miss conversation that bounces between bulking, story telling, and movie banter. If you’ve seen either of Modine’s iconic roles in Vision Quest or Full Metal Jacket, then you’ll appreciate the training back stories of Matthew bulking up for a weight loss quest and how R. Lee Ermey shit-talked his way into stardom.
