The Sheriff of Baghdad on combat, coaching & the warrior’s mindset
John McPhee, aka The Sheriff of Baghdad, is a man who’s spent more time in dangerous places than most people spend in the gym. Former Tier 1 operator, combat veteran, and one of the sharpest tactical minds out there, McPhee joins me to talk about the real mechanics of high-level performance under pressure. We’re not just talking shooting and fighting, we’re talking decision-making, body mechanics, and why most “tactical” training is a waste of time.
We dive into why your training probably sucks, what real-world gunfights look like, and why the fundamentals will always outperform flashy nonsense. McPhee breaks down what makes elite performers different, how to train smarter (not just harder), and why most guys are training for a fantasy instead of reality.
If you want unfiltered insights from a man who’s been there and done it at the highest level, this one’s for you.
