Bringing A Little Life Into This World
Behind that epic smile is a passion for guiding mommas through the journey of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood. A speaker from last year’s Symposium and PA broette, Lindsey Mathews of BirthFit [@BirthFit] joins us to talk about the complexities and challenges of birthing in the modern age. Luckily for parents-to-be she’s developed a methodology to empower you through the process and not be intimidated by the bullshit. Her goal is to facilitate your connection with your wee one from the start and set your mind and body up for a successful birth and post birth experience. As Lindsey concedes, everything will change…but in the most amazing way.
In her efforts to shake up the nonsensical modern day norms, Lindsey Mathews of [@BirthFit] has assembled a team of coaches, trained in the BirthFit methodology to usher new and experienced moms through the process. A doctor in chiropractic, Lindsey has dedicated her world to not only researching the history of birthing practices, but to also rewriting it her own damn self. Listen in as she takes John, Luke, and Tex to school and breathes new life into the empowerment of mommas everywhere.
EMPOWER YOUR PERFORMANCE.
Check out Lindsey’s website and instagram page under the name BirthFit. She gave an amazing talk at the Power Athlete Symposium last year and has been educating folks in mind, body, baby connection for quite some time.
Speaking of the Symposium. It’s time for another edition of why you should attend the Power Athlete Symposium in Austin, TX Dec 7, 8, and 9. For the past few months I’ve been giving you some of the more obscure reasons to attend…and this week I present the soundtrack. Each year there is one song that really exemplifies the symposium experience and each year it’s played on repeat until you feel it in your fucking bones. Then 8 months later, you’ll hear that song on the radio you will immediately feel like an insane person. And I know you’re like “Cali, how is this a selling point…” and to that I say, it is probably not. But it is something.
