Bulldozer asks:
I was wondering what your thoughts are with cheat meals when following the CFFB/paleo diet. How often do you guys do it? What do you guys eat? Just curious because I eat the CFFB diet and when I cheat, which is pretty much never, I feel like shit and have regrets. Thanks everyone

I have a high metabolism, i eat around 500gr meat a day, 800gr vegetables, 8 whole eggs, cook with coconut oil and drink 4 liters of milk a day, and sweet potatoes post workout. Should i count the carbs that are within the milk as carbs consumed on a daily basis to what i need? Or is the milk to be considered extra? I also add around 150gr of blueberries to my post workout shake.
Basically i wanted to check if i am on the right track to gain more weight? Dec 2012 my weight was 70kg, now it is 85kg.
Is there something you would say i should add or leave out?
Thanks
Jack,
I think if your goal is to add weight, and you are adding weight, then you are doing just fine!
Your approach looks to be working fine.

[…] Power Athlete Radio – Episode 26 Special guest John Meadows joins the Power Athlete Staff to talk shop on nutrition as it relates to physique, performance, and longevity. […]
During the podcast, Guest John Meadows said something to the effect of, “only a specific type of protein and carbs is useful to drink during your workout,” but he didn’t say WHAT the specific types of protein and carbs was. Can somebody please shed some light on this? Thanks!
@Ed I wouldn’t look too hard into it. As much good info as John Meadows puts out, I would say he balances it by pushing Biotest supplements pretty hard (have you seen T-nation?) And I’m willing to bet he had some “gear” to help him acheive his current physique. Not saying he didn’t work his ass off to get where he is, but don’t believe that those supps they push are the “magic” carb and protein sources of the universe.
