Training, traveling, and tearing shit up.
This week John, Luke, and Tex talk with 2014 Highland Games champ and self proclaimed Drifta Lifta, Matt Vincent. When Matt isn’t training, competing, or sweating his balls off in his garage gym, he’s out traveling the world. His thirst for knowledge has only grown after rubbing elbows with besties Jim Wendler and Kelly Starrett.
In this episode you’ll hear about Matt’s athletic journey from track and field to football to endurance sports, finally settling in the fringe world of powerlifting, strongman, and highland games. His recent competitions and work have led him to travel domestically and abroad and meet the people who have inspired his training.
Matt’s refreshing take on surrounding himself with people who are positive and generally badass is what he feels allows him to find fulfilled in the otherwise superficial world of training and performance. We couldn’t agree more.
