A Little struggle Goes a Long Way

Strap. Your. Damn. Self. In. This week’s episode with Melissa Schilling [Twitter: @mschilli1] will absolutely shatter any of your perceptions of what makes a person successful. Learn how some of the most notoriously accomplished innovators exhibited a common set of character traits. Schilling’s obsession with the topic led her to research these complex minds and personalities.

Schilling also discusses how through her studies, she’s learned that a little struggle goes a long way. As she states, if there is any chance a person can achieve a difficult task on their own, you should let them. Rescuing them when things get tough will only discourage self efficacy and confidence.

As an NYU Professor and author of numerous technology, innovation, and strategy books, Schilling is overqualified for our podcast. Scratch that intellectual itch implement some of her surprising research takeaways.
