Picking Your Battles
Everyone wants to be “Reynolds Strong”. It’s the kind of strong that can only come from years of training powerlifting, strongman, and working alongside Rippetoe. The stories and life lessons are aplenty in this week’s episode with Coach Matt Reynolds [@ReynoldsStrong]…several of them actually cut because we are a family show. Still plenty of meaty goodness on the bone. Hear the guys discuss how you can still make massive gains if you’re over 40, what it’s like to run your own business, and election politics.
Matt is the kind of guy you want to lift with. Humble, smart, beastly, and down to earth, he’s at a point in his coaching career where he realizes not everyone lifts to get strong. It’s a mind blowing realization that any lifelong coach can relate to. When we want more for our athletes than they want for themselves, we only set ourselves up for disappointment.
Get an inside look the Starting Strength Seminar and why only about 5% of attendees receive recognition for the course. Why does Rip hold the bar so high and when is he going to retire and start selling cured meats at his local farmer’s market?
EMPOWER YOUR PERFORMANCE.
Coach Matt Reynolds can be found all over social media under his stage name, @ReynoldsStrong. And if you’ve never heard of Starting Strength you’ve never actually googled “how to get strong”. You can always donate to the Mark Rippetoe relief fund by buying his book on Amazon.
Don’t forget! Wade’s Army’s 5th annual Wade’s Day campaign has officially kicked off! From now until November 12th, we will be honoring the brave pediatric cancer patients battling Neuroblastoma, a tumor derived from immature nerve cells. For 2016, we’re embracing their valor and highlighting their Nerves of Steel! Join the fight against neuroblastoma and help us reach our goal of fundraising $125,000. Enlist today at wadesarmy.org by clicking the “Donate Now” badge and claim your limited edition Wade’s Army uniform.
