Velocity Based Training.
Training for “POWER” has become an increasingly sexy adage to strength and conditioning as of late. But, as some of you may know, this imperative emphasis to displaying strength dynamically is no new phenomenon. Coaches and researchers have been studying the benefits of power based training as well as how to increase the performance biomarkers associated. Our guest today, Dr Bryan Mann, plays an integral part furthering our knowledge of power.
Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning at the University of Missouri, Bryan has developed a passion and network of contemporaries whose obsession is performance. With a background in competitive powerlifting and a shitton of academic research, Dr Mann has meticulously studied the physiology of speed and strength. Today, he brings you the biology breakdown of what occurs inter and intra muscularly to accomplish just that. Also, celebrity guest host, Matt Vincent, joins in on the conversation!
EMPOWER YOUR PERFORMANCE.
Now it’s time for you to empower your performance. Dr Bryan Mann is obviously a busy…Mann. Even without a website, you can creep on him on instagram or twitter under the handle @jBryanMann. Bryan writes regularly for Elite FTS and is author of several books including the Complete Guide to Powerlifting for Human Kinetics.
