The Future of Less Lethal

Do you have a fever?…And the only cure is more PA Radio? After a one week hiatus we are BACK and finally bringing you Axon CEO and Taser developer, Rick Smith. His new book, End of Killing, will have you thinking about what purpose our military, LEO, and protective forces actually serve. If the goal is to neutralize the threat then there are far more means to accomplish that task than killing alone. The finality of death is sometimes the only option, but what if there are plenty of other circumstances where it is merely the default due to lack of technology? Your favorite podcast is back and better than a 5 second taser ride.

When Axon founder and CEO, Rick Smith, educates The Crew about Taser technology, he lays the basic ground rules first. But this episode is not all about the less lethal tool used by nearly every police department in the nation, it’s about the future of Axon. It’s core principal is stop human threats without killing the suspect…enter Rick’s new book titled “End of Killing”. Before you take a political and ethical stance on the issue, give this episode a listen. You may find yourself surprised at the motivation and practicality of this visionary guest. You also won’t be surprised that John, Luke, and Tex take this high brow discussion as an opportunity to debrief movies whose premises include futuristic crime fighting. Rick humors the bros by making them a taser offer they can’t refuse….Listen NOW!
