Swimming in Deep Water

Jon Andersen’s [the_jon_andersen_ifbb_pro] life reads like an adventure novel. This three-sport athlete has traveled the world competing in various facets of strength and performance. But, he is best known for dominating each arena using what he calls the Deep Water Method. It’s not only how he’s lived and succeeded in sport, but how he views his own competitive spirit.

Hear Jon discuss what he calls the “governor” of his training, that which dictates how hard to push. Also, how much protein does a pro bodybuilder at 275 lbs need to consume just to maintain mass? The number is alarming. Jon claims to not have had a carb in years says that his reliance on a high protein diet simply works for him. Welbourn and Andersen go on to reminisce on Bob Sapp and offer their tips for achieving greatness.

This is a truly packed episode of inspiration and a close look at the life cycle of a gifted lifter.
