A Culture of Craftsmen
Brett Bartholomew joins us this week to talk about the art of coaching. If his decade of experience working with collegiate, pro, and Olympic level athletes has taught him anything, it’s that the tipping point for effective coaching is connection. Brett’s personal fascination with the human psyche has heavily influenced his approach to training for performance, so much so that he authored a best selling book titled Conscious Coaching.
Although Brett’s early story of shuffling around with different teams and taking unpaid jobs seems a familiar one, the short timeline in which he was able to accomplish so much is truly impressive. These days Brett is opening his own facility and unabashedly committed to shifting how the business of coaching is valued. John and Brett trade thoughts on how coaching has evolved and even discuss some of the highlights of this year’s Sorinex Summer Strong.
