PA Radio – Episode 269: Lindsey Lepley

Eccentrically Speaking

Eccentric muscle contractions are weird. And no I’m not talking about eccentric as in “my eccentric Uncle Larry just purchased his second life sized doll”. Get to know this highly advantageous training tool this week with Dr. Lindsey Lepley [@LindseyLepley @UconnSORE]. Studies are currently being conducted under Lepley on eccentrics with both animals and humans. Their neurological and physiological implications are amazing…but, they have to be performed in very specific prescriptions. The results of these tests are showing rapid rehabilitation and a host of other benefits. Learn how to integrate them into your training.

Through her research she is affirming much of what we know about the awesomeness of eccentrics. BUT the real moneymaker is that in finding why these tools are so effective, she is able to manipulate them down to the most minute detail to achieve the most bang for your buck. It’s simple stuff but is currently flying under the radar of a ton of PT’s. Tune in, use the tools, rehab your boo-boos, and crush the competition.

EMPOWER YOUR PERFORMANCE.

As Dr Lepley indicated, you can find her tweets @LindseyLepley and the UConn Sports Optimization and Rehabilitation feed.

And now for another installment of this week’s reason to attend the Power Athlete Symposium in Austin TX December 7-9. Some people call it networking but let’s just call it what it is…a massive increase in instagram followers. People will be following each other so hard and so fast that if you came to the Symposium with even the slightest IG follower drought, your thirst for validation will be quenched almost immediately. No more slumming it with booty blaster videos…you’re better than that Tex. Posting pics of your meal prep? I’m fucking sleeping. The PA Symposium will raise you to the next level of IG consciousness and you will literally never be lonely again.
